Meet the Team

Our Dedicated Group of Professionals

Our clinic has amazing team members who are highly skilled and trained to support our patients, with ongoing continuing education standards required for both credentialed and non-credentialed staff.  Our Client Services Representatives are also highly experienced when it comes to appropriate appointment scheduling and client communication.  We treat your pets like our own pets, and strive to make their stay as happy and comfortable as possible.

Hospital Manager, RVT

Chelsea Gonzales

Chelsea is a graduate of the San Juan College Veterinary Technician program and gained her RVT Licensure in 2018. She started her undergraduate studies at Colorado State University and has continued pursuing her education, currently through the University of Missouri (Mizzou) in their Veterinary Technologist Program.

While she has various roles in the clinic, her passion always leads her back to Anesthesia and into the Surgery suite. With a high precedent on quality patient care, Chelsea strives to provide the best care for all of Gruda’s surgery patients. Her newest venture outside of the OR is mentorship to an ever-growing and expanding nursing staff.

Away from the clinic, she often finds herself lost in a book, on a trail, spending time with her favorite tripod, BellaMia or riding her Peloton!

Veterinary Technician

Catrina G.

My name is Catrina, although many call me Cat. I've been working at Gruda Veterinary Hospital as a veterinary technician since late 2018. It has really been a dream come true since I always believed I was going to work with animals from a young age. On top of that my family has been bringing our dogs to Gruda since 2003! I remember being around the age of 8 years old saying "The dogs need to go to Gruda," any time they got sick. I love working here, I love my coworkers and my bosses, and I can't wait to take care of your sweet babies!!
Veterinary Technician

Lia C.

Almost 8 years ago now, Lia started as a facility technician, where she then trained and became a veterinary technician shortly after starting at Gruda. She enjoys every aspect of the job, especially surgery and procedures. Outside of work, Lia likes to spend time with her 4 dogs, is a fish/aquarium hobbyist, and loves to watch the Chicago Bears play!

Lia is on her way to completing her education to become an RVT at San Juan college veterinary technician program.
