Gruda Vet is owned, managed, and run by the people working directly in the clinic every day, which allows us to keep the decision making in the hands of the doctors and staff for the betterment of our patients and our clinic rather than a corporation’s bottom line.  We follow our Vision, Mission, and Values and work together to ensure the best care available for your pets.  Veterinary medicine is going through steady corporate buy-outs and consolidation, and we’re proud to stand as an independent private practice and plan to continue as a private practice long term.

Full-Service Veterinary Hospital

Gruda Veterinary Hospital is a full service veterinary hospital located in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  We provide a large range of services including routine preventive medical care, internal medicine, general surgery, specialty surgeries and orthopedics, endoscopy, dentistry, oncology, ultrasound and echocardiography, laser therapy, acupuncture and chiropractic for dogs, cats, and other small animals.  We have excellent nursing care for patients staying in the hospital, including overnight monitoring. 

Board-Certified Small Animal Specialty Surgery

We are thrilled to announce the latest addition to our dedicated team: Dr. Natasha Stanke, a board-certified surgeon specializing in small animal surgery. A board-certified veterinary specialist is a veterinarian who has completed additional training in a specific area of veterinary medicine and has passed an examination that evaluates their knowledge and skills in that specialty area. A board-certified veterinary specialist’s expertise complements that of an animal’s primary care veterinarian. An animal owner may be referred to a board-certified veterinary specialist if diagnosing or treating an animal’s health problem requires specialized equipment and/or expertise.

We offer a broad range of advanced surgical options right here in our facility, ensuring your pet receives the highest standard of care. Board certification is a mark of quality. With a board-certified surgeon on board, we enhance our ability to offer sophisticated and cutting-edge surgical treatments for a variety of complex conditions.

For our established clients who may be unable to afford care for their pets, we offer support through our Fozzie Fund, which is established through the Veterinary Care Foundation. Please consider donating to this fund and help us provide medical care for animals in need.

Our unique combination of expert care and state-of-the-art technology allows us to provide the highest level of care for your canine and feline family members. Our facility offers separate cat and dog areas, an ICU ward, an isolation ward, and a full in-house laboratory. Our services include digital radiography, endoscopy, ultrasound services, and much more.
