Becca Pava, DVM
Growing up in Albuquerque as an only child, Dr. Pava considered her 3 dogs and one cat as her siblings. From them, she learned the importance of the human-animal bond from a young age and always knew that she aspired to be a veterinarian so she could help perpetuate and strengthen that bond for other people and their furry companions.
After graduating earlier this year from the Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Pava is thrilled to be back in her home state. In addition to her DVM, Dr. Pava is pursuing certification in canine rehabilitation. Although Dr. Pava primarily works with dogs and cats, she holds a place in her heart for larger animals, particularly giraffes and elephants. This love developed in frequent childhood visits to the Albuquerque Bio Park, as well as a semester studying wildlife management in Kenya and Tanzania during undergrad at Connecticut College.
When she isn’t taking care of others’ animals, Dr. Pava loves spending time with her own animals – a dog and two cats – as well as her family and significant other, Rob. In her spare time she enjoys walking her dog, Charlie, playing board games, and watching TV & movies.
